ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon softball team completed its fall season by splitting a doubleheader against Mercyhurst North East Sunday afternoon.

Highlights: Sam Scott drove in first run with a one-out single in third inning / Scott's hit came after Katie Killian and Casee Piquet singled / Ashley Petrone doubled in second run during the fifth inning / Piquet scored second run after leading off the inning with a single / Piquet went 2-for-4 / Dragon pitched four scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out 10 / Bartholow earned the save while tossing three scoreless inning in relief, striking out three.

Highlights: Gannon led 5-1 after five innings, before Mercyhurst North East rallied with two runs in the sixth inning and three in the seventh for the victory / Kelsey Brickman started on the mound and received a no decision / Brickman threw four innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out seven / Killian gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits in three innings of relief ... Killian struck out three hitters / Ashley Petrone drove in all five runs with a two-run homer in the first inning and three-run homer in the fifth inning / Piquet went 2-for-2 / Kelly Trace was 2-for-4.
