Gannon Women's Golf Squad Leads Seven-Team Field at Own Invitational
Sophomore Kelly Nickerson is second after Saturday's first round, five strokes off the lead.

ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon women’s golf team sits in first place out of seven teams after the first round of its Gannon Fall Invitational hosted by Lake Shore Country Club Saturday afternoon.
Gannon leads the team standings with a 335. Clarion (337), Mercyhurst (347), Wheeling Jesuit (352), and West Chester (369) completed the top five. Seton Hill (382) and Baldwin-Wallace (384) are sixth and seventh, respectively.
Mercyhurst’s Evann Parker leads the individual race with a 75. Gannon’s
Kelly Nickerson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-LaSalle) is one of three players tied for second place with an 80 during Saturday’s first round.
Emily Quinn (5th, 82),
Allyssa Ferriell (T6, 84),
Rhiannon Ray (T13th, 89),
Amanda Eckhart (T16th, 91), and
Katie Lyons (T30th, 99) completed Gannon’s six-member team.
The Gannon Fall Invitational concludes Sunday, October 4 with the second and final round.
