SRU responded quickly, tying the match 25 seconds later on a Julianna Howell goal. Emer Flatley gave the Rock a 2-1 edge in the 20th minute and neither team scored again.

The home team outshot GU 19-5, including 11-2 in the first half. The Rock compiled six corner kicks to just two for the Knights. Sabrina Chirco (Brampton, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas) recorded 11 saves in net for Gannon.
