ERIE, Pa. - Gannon officials have announced ticket policies for season ticket holders and advance ticket sales for this weekend’s NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Atlantic Regional hosted by Gannon University at the Hammermill Center.

Per NCAA championship bylaws, Gannon University must reserve the first three rows behind each team bench to accommodate the fans of the teams participating in that current game. The NCAA bylaw will eliminate 120 seats from the reserved seating areas since each team will have the ability to put their fans in those seats.

Thus, Gannon will distribute all reserved seats (plush and chairback) on a first-come, first-served basis for all season ticket holders, beginning Tuesday, March 9 at 8:30 a.m. at the Hammermill Center. Please note this is a change from past ticket pre-sale locations. Plush seats and chairbacks can only be purchased as a two-session (entire subregional) package and cost $16.

Only season ticket holders are eligible to purchase those reserved seats and must show their season ticket pass when buying tickets. Initially, season ticket holders will have the option to purchase their same seats. Due to the fact that the reserved seating section has been reduced, there is a possibility that season ticket holders will be granted alternative seats if their original seats had been taken by the NCAA or previously bumped. Gannon apologizes for the inconvenience, but can’t change the policy based on the NCAA bylaws.

Season ticket holders will only be able to buy one seat per season ticket. So, it is highly recommended that multiple season ticket passes are present if you want seats together.

In addition to the reserved seating policy, all-subregional general admission tickets will be available in advance. The package includes admission to both sessions (Friday and Saturday) and costs $12 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens. Per NCAA bylaws, students at participating schools will not be granted access to the gym free of charge by showing their school ID. Everybody will need a ticket to gain entrance to the gym.

The ticket pre-sale will run Tuesday, March 9 through Thursday, March 11 from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Only Tuesday’s pre-sale will take place at the Hammermill Center. Tickets will be sold the remaining days at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion, located through the Athletic Department doors at 3rd and Peach Streets.

Any plush or chairbacks not renewed by Thursday will be made available to the general public Friday, March 12 from 8:30 a.m. until 12 noon at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion.

Single-session tickets will only be sold at the gate on individual gamedays. Single-session ticket prices are $8 for plush/chairbacks, $6 for adult general admission and $4 for student/senior citizen general admission. Ticket windows open at the Hammermill Center one hour prior to the start of each session - 5 p.m. on Friday, March 12 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 13.

The NCAA has changed the Atlantic Regional format this year, splitting into two subregionals. The subregional winners will meet for the Atlantic Region championship Monday, March 15 at the highest remaining seed. If Gannon wins its subregional (March 12-13), the Lady Knights will host the regional title game March 15 at 7 p.m.

If this occurs, season ticket holders will need to go through the same process to renew their seats for the title game. Season ticket holders will be able to renew their seats Sunday, March 14 and Monday, March 15 at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Any plush seats or chairbacks not renewed by March 15 at 4 p.m. will be available to the general public when the Hammermill Center ticket windows open at 6 p.m. General admission tickets will also only be available at the ticket windows on gameday, beginning at 6 p.m. Costs for the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region title game will be $8 for plush/chairbacks, $6 for adult general admission and $4 for student/senior citizen general admission.

Only cash and checks will be accepted at the ticket window. No debit or credit cards will be accepted.
