BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – In a field that featured five teams who qualified for the NCAA Championships last season the Gannon women’s golf team finished with a two day score of 633, earning them a sixth place finish at the Tom Kirinovic Classic Monday afternoon.
Ashland won the team championship by five strokes with a score of 603. Grand Valley (608), California (Pa.) (608), Indianapolis (614) and Ferris State (631) rounded out the top five. Each of the five teams that finished ahead of the Golden Knights competed at the NCAA Championships last spring.
Amanda Teodorsson (Savedalen, Sweden / Porthalla) was Gannon’s top finisher shooting 74 on the second day. Combined with her first-round 77, Teodorsson tied for eighth overall and just six strokes back of individual champion Sarah Hoffman (145) of Grand Valley.
