HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Just like last week's regular season victory at Millersville, the Golden Knights scored in the first handful of minutes. Mathias Krigbaum (Greve, Denmark/Greve Gymnasium) took an Eduardo de Bonis Encinoso (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain/Escuelas Pias Tenerife) pass and lined it into the goal to put Gannon up 1-0.
  • The Golden Knights and Marauders kept it a defensive affair through halftime, combining for just seven shots total. Gannon held on to its 1-0 lead.
  • Srdjan Dujkovic (Darmstadt, Germany) was fouled just outside the box in the 75th minute. He lined up a shot with Millersville building a wall in front of the goal. Dujkovic bent the ball around the wall and deposited it into the back corner of the net. The goal was Dujkovic's first of the season.
  • Gannon played out the final 15 minutes and celebrated its first PSAC semifinals victory in school history.
