McKenna returns as one of Gannon’s starting pitchers … transferred from Niagara County (N.Y.) Community College prior to the 2010-11 academic year.

2011: Made nine appearances during his first season as a Golden Knight, starting eight … logged the second-most innings (47.2) on the team, being only one out shy of the team-high … finished third on the team in strikeouts (28) … earned his first career victory during a 16-9 win against the University of Mary (N.D.) at the Russ-Matt Invitational … pitched six innings against the Pilots, striking out four … picked up his second victory with a complete-game shutout (3-0) against Clarion … struck out four hitters without a walk against the Golden Eagles … was the hard-luck loser during a 4-3 setback against Slippery Rock despite allowing only one earned run and striking out five in six innings of work.

At Niagara County Community College: Played head coach Matt Clingersmith … was a two-time all-conference first-team selection … named team MVP … served as a co-captain … helped Niagara County advance to the Junior College World Series … posted a 13-2 record with a 1.21 earned run average and five saves during two years.

High School: Played for head coach Gino Campoli at Iroquois Ridge High School in Oakville, Ontario … named team MVP four times … received the Heart and Soul award … named Athlete of the Year twice … received the 2007 Athlete of the Year in Ontario scholarship … named Most Promising Athlete … was a four-sport athlete … played baseball, volleyball, hockey and badminton.
