Bodamer is expected to compete for playing time in the outfield during his second season at Gannon in 2016 … originally attended Edinboro University as a football student-athlete during the 2013-14 academic year … has three years of eligibility remaining for the Gannon baseball team.

At Edinboro: Saw action in four games as a quarterback for the football team in 2013 … didn’t play baseball at Edinboro since the University doesn’t sponsor the sport … completed 66.2 percent (7-12) of his passes in limited action … named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Played for head coach Nate Zitnik at Port Allegany (Pa.) High School … was a three-time Northern Tier All-Star … named to the honor roll as a freshman … landed a spot on the high honor roll as a sophomore … awarded the Certificate of Superior Achievement … was a three-sport athlete, playing basketball and football … was a two-time North Tier All-Star honoree in basketball … selected Pennsylvania’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year, Pennsylvania Football News (PFN) “Mr. Football 2012” and PFN Class A Offensive Player of the Year .. named a Max Preps 2012 Small School First-Team All-American … earned all-state, all-region and all-area honors … named the District 9 Player of the Year … was an all-state first-team selection as a junior and senior by both the Associated Press and Pennsylvania Football News, and an honorable-mention pick in 2010 by PFN … was a Mr. PA Football Top Five finalist in 2011 and 2012 … set PIAA state records for career touchdown passes (137), career passing yards (10,948), career combined offensive touchdowns (177) and career total offense (13,263) … set PIAA single-season records for passing yards (3,951) and touchdown passes (52) while leading the Gators to a 13-1 record and a berth in the Class A semifinals as a senior … ran for 832 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2012 … completed 227-of-323 passes … was a two-time Olean Times Big 30 Player of the Year and District IX Offensive Player of the Year … named “D9 Sports” Most Valuable Player in 2012 … was a three-time Allegheny Mountain League All-Star while leading Port Allegany to the league and district championships as a junior and senior … completed 247-of-378 passes for 3,766 yards with 49 touchdowns as a junior, adding 806 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground … threw for 1,992 yards with 22 touchdowns while rushing for 574 yards and 10 scores as a sophomore … accounted for 1,239 passing yards with 14 touchdowns to go along with three rushing touchdowns as a freshman.
