Gannon University Director of Athletics Lisa Goddard McGuirk announced the appointment of Sarah Arsenault as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Coordinator for Student-Athlete Development, effective June 1, 2025.

Arsenault comes from Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina, where she has served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance since the fall of 2022.

"We are excited to welcome Sarah to Gannon." said Lisa Goddard McGuirk, Director of Athletics.  "Her depth and breadth of experience, expertise in compliance, and commitment to the student-athlete experience will further enhance and elevate all our programs. In addition to overseeing and guiding our compliance efforts, Sarah will also lead our student-athlete development initiatives. Both areas are vital to serving our mission and our ongoing commitment to excellence."

"I'm incredibly excited to join Gannon's Athletic Department and be part of a tradition of excellence both on and off the field," said Arsenault. "I want to sincerely thank Lisa Goddard McGuirk, Meghan Morphy, and the entire search committee for this opportunity and for placing their confidence in me to contribute to such a successful and dynamic program."

Prior to her time in SC, Arsenault served time both in coaching and compliance roles. Serving as an assistant coach with Idaho State University women's soccer, she oversaw the compliance of the team while also maintaining responsibility for countable athletically related activity logs.

Prior to Idaho State, Arsenault was the compliance coordinator and head coach at Guilford College for one season. She served in the same role at Millsaps College from 2015-2019.

In addition to her impressive professional resume, Arsenault achieved remarkable feats as a student-athlete during her collegiate career. No stranger to the PSAC, the former Slippery Rock graduate was a four-time All-Conference honoree, a two-time PSAC Player of the Year, and was named All-Region three times as part of the women's soccer team. Arsenault was also recognized as an all-American during her junior campaign.

In 2014, Arsenault was inducted into the SRU Athletic Hall of Fame, and to this day holds the record for career goals with the program (73).

Arsenault earned her bachelor's degree in 2006 from Slippery Rock, and later a masters in 2012 from Waynesburg University. She is from Rome, NY and lives with her dog, Gracie.
